There must be thousands of viewers who watch this programme. I switched it off after less than five minutes. When I was about 10, I might have found the vulgarity and the rude words funny - but that would have been several decades ago. What is its appeal?

it was unfortunately very boring. Mrs Brown has lost it's appeal
Well when you've found out its appeal please let me know.
I always enjoy it. But very disappointed they have repeated last nights episode again tonight.
I'm pleased to discover I'm not the only one to find it awful.
I like it, I find Brendan O'Carrol very funny and his real life sister Ellish O'Carrol who plays neighbour Winnie McGoogan
I’ve tried watching it but I have never found it funny.
"There must be thousands of viewers who watch this programme." Millions and millions actually watch MBB. It is regularly one of the most watched programmes on tv each time it is screened.
I haven't watched MBB but I rememer Arthur Lucan doing a similar thing as Old Mother Riley many decades ago.
complete rubbish, i would rather watch a party political by the Labour party.......or would I .
Rosie, it is obvious that you have never seen Mrs Brown if you think that it's anything like Arthur Lucan!
Some friends of mine were huge fans and loved the adlibbing. They went to see the live show and enjoyed it so much they went again.
They were hugely disappointed to find the 'adlibbing' and corpsing was exactly the same in the second live show as the first and they haven't watched it since.
Brendan O'Carroll is the ultimate professional and rules his show with an iron fist.
Certainly not to my taste.
One of those programmes I avoid like the plague.
One of the great mysteries of life that so many like it, but then mystery is what life is all about.
You're right Mexi - I can remember that OMR was a programme but I dont remember anything about it. I was kust throwing in my two pennorth. :-)
It is a bit like Old Mother Riley. Both men dressed as older Irish women for laughs, both have their real life wives play their on-screen daughters, both characters were devised by the actors who played them.
Mrs Brown is just a lot more vulgar and foul mouthed than Mother Riley.
Unsurprisingly I don’t find it funny either.
Nor do I. Too coarse for my liking.
I'm a lone voice in the wilderness :0/
You are not alone Bobbi, I think it
Sorry. I think it is funny.
Ah, thanks Mexi :0)))
