remember it is color blind - Queen Charlotte er wasnt afro caribbean she was german
and a draymer - a lot never happened

spectacular colour - and very well filmed and planned.

Mainly Wilton House - but I thought bits of Queens House greenwich, Bath Royal Cresc

I wondered if Marina when she spoke Fransh actually spoke Creole French (de Martinique ou Haiti).



Spoilers ! - - Plot 21 st century - no one married for love at that level. Even George and Charlotte came to love each other. Eloise is based on Mary Bennett in Pride and Prejudice and therefore credible. Daffers make a helluva mess of her life between episodes 4 and 7

Terrible grasp on detail - ye Duck seems to lose his cravat half the time. Young ladies go out without suitable overcoats/cape AND without manservants. They keep on speaking to young men without chaperones. They visit At Home without visiting cards ! My dear. Someone answers a door whereas clearly a servant should

The regency period was very coloured but they are too bright. Carmine Red is late C19. Lady Danbury's mauve is Perkins Mauve and the first synthetic colour - 1872
The regency dresses were white and embroidered but uncoloured
The wedding ring has diamonds on it

The mens waistcoats are damask and not embroidered.

The obstetric scenes were all wrong.. Women were confined. men were certainly NOT present at the birth and may not see the mother for weeks ( of her confinement). The ladies are delivered by midwives and sages-femmes. The new born baby is too brown and not pink enough ( at birth).

Men ask for dances whereas everyone knows there were dancing cards so that a market atmosphere was avoided - also shown

Lady Danbury dismisses the ball guests even tho Queen Charlotte was there

Daffers makes a grand entrance whilst Queen Charlotte looks on whereas the crowd would gather and THEN the queen would enter last - and leave first....

Eloise attends a ball BEFORE she comes out ! how very very shocking!

"ton" is used for town whereas it is French - tone and describes the level of society ( de bon ton) not the thing itself ( ville ) - None of the cast understand this

So great fun I might well watch again

and like Milor' Whistledown, post yet more newly noticed petards and gaffes
