I haven't seen Torn, but enjoyed The Drowning - apart from the fact that she seemed able to go into the school and take lessons and no-one questioned it. I do hope he is her son.
It's a similar story but told a different way. That happens a lot in TV and film. I'm not sure they have 'gotten away' with anything. As long as it is entertaining!
Haven't watched Torn but have just read the whole synopsis on Wicki and, the two are very similar in that a child disappears after being left alone near water, presumed dead, only to turn up again years later. In Torn, all that happens in Episode 1. From there on in, the two stories are quite different.
Enjoyed the first episode. Last night episode was a bit hectic and muddled. Thought the actress playing ‘ the mum’ was poor, over acting. Will watch tonight though .
I thought early on that her brother was going to be integral to what happened and daddy's mistress would be somehow involved. I never suspected complicity on grandma's part though.
I didn’t see that ending coming although I did wonder when the brother made a phone call at about the time the DNA was taken. I’d like to think that she got together with Daniel’s father eventually - perhaps we can make our own final ending?
