Just started this eve to watch this years series on catch-up, I’m 3 episodes in so far. God what an appalling standard compared to previous years! Several contestants 100% should not have gone thru at all. Any thoughts??

The judges seem to talk so much gobbledegook to me.Food is for eating not talking B??????s about.

90% of the dshes so far are fish and Asian! Absolutely nowhere near usual levels.

I watch it somemetimes. Jen is 100% die hard veiwer. Yes standard does seem lower, but logically there cannot be a bottomless pit of chefs?

One guy didn’t cook either course ie. o cooking was i. Ok Ed, and one woman served raw meat both courses!

Yes spotted that Smow she would have been letting it soak in lemon juice lol

And trying to cook a Beef Wellington in that time!!

I didn't see that part (I fell asleep) but at a guess you'd be looking at 60 - 90 mins?

They had just over an hour - it was basically raw lol!

I thought the first weeks contestants were outstanding and better than previous years. Tonight and last week there were some that were good but had timing problems...which often equals raw food.

Never tried the minced beef with raw egg, meant to be treated as a delicacy.

They always seem to have an awful lot of spicy dishes

Yes but I don't mind a few spices in my food.

I don’t know how Greg and John manage to sample so many dishes a day lol

It each episode made in a day? John and Greg only have a forkful of each plate served.

I always think the judging is pretty well-balanced and fair.
