Are Carte Dor trying to put people off their product by having that annoying Toksvig woman doing their advert.A pain in the backside in Call my Bluff and she has made Fifteen to one unwatchable I wonder what next.
No I accept that but adverts are meant to attract people to a product not too aggravate with rubbish ad’s like that. She’s even more annoying than that opera singer, how the other fellow sits next to him I’ll never know.
It's made me want to try this ice-cream actually. I quite like her except on QI, it's now smutty and seems a bit dumbed down but there again Stephen Fry was always going to be a very hard act to follow on that programme.
As a shopkeeper of many years standing told me “It’s not the ones who have shopped you have to worry about it’s the ones who haven’t.”Same applies with advertising.
The ad doesn't annoy me in the same way that it seems to annoy (the appropriately named) Grumpy01 but it doesn't make me want to rush out and buy the ice cream either.
It's definitely one of the poorer pieces of work from an advertising agency (adam&eveDBB) that's usually noted for the quality of its productions (such as their wonderful 'Love that feeling?' ad for the AA, which always brightens my day when it's on).
cashier - I think it's a Morphy Richards but can't remember as I haven't seen it since last summer. It's a cheap one that you have to put in the freezer before churning rather than the bigger ones that freeze and churn.
As long as Morrisons put the beer near the front of the store and the freezers at the back it's absolutely no contest for my groats no matter who's advertising ice cream.
