However, I would like to point out that there is no such thing as an easy or hard question. You either know the answer or you don't. If we had been on the show after ours, we would have been out in the first round ('cos I know nothing about Neighbours except its Australian!!). Also, your mind does play tricks. Before I went on the show, I said to myself "if a country question comes up, does Comoros, Kazakstan or Kyrgystan fit". Our jackpot question was a countries question; all three of those were pointless answers; and I forgot all of them!! Thank god for Panama! So, don't judge until you have had a go yourself.
For it to be a competition there has to be wrong answers and losers.
If every contestant got every question right, then it would be a very boring spectacle.
Your own personal knowledge is grown from what interests you. An actor will have different knowledge than a musician. So if the question was “What was the name of the movie of Tchaikovsky‘s life directed by Ken Russell” or “Which actor portrayed Tchaikovsky in that film” then the actor might easily answer the question but the general public struggle to get the correct answers.
