New presenter Anne Robinson sounded to me as if she had ill fitting teeth. Anyone see it ?

76 years old. I hope she has developed a very thick skin over the years. No one , like her or not ,deserves some of the criticism she is receiving . Would a male be treated in a similar way ?

From me personally - absolutely.

I think splashy teeth are often the result of bad surgery, or if not, shrunken gums, but it can be fixed.

David Jacobs, John Craven, Barry Gibb, Margaret Thatcher, Rula Lenska - all have or had it - no need with their money and professions.

As far as criticism goes, Ms Robinson has carved our a lucrative career being utterly horrible to a vast number of innocent people over a seriously long time - I sure she is more than capable of dealing with the same given back, but of course, it's highly doubtful that she is aware of any of us, or cares what we think.

My main recollection of CD is that I went to a girlfriend's house for the first (and only) time. As we walked in her dad was watching the end of CD and the conundrum anagram came up on the screen. It came to me at once & I blurted it out. He was well impressed!

AH couldn't agree more wit your last paragraph, she was really horrible to some contestants on the weakest link. Are we supposed to forgive and forget because maybe she has issues we don't know about??

I thought she had false teeth and a wig. I've watched all the shows this week and I get the feeling she's got the itch to be the *** of a witch that we know her as.

As for todays' show, I scored 95 and just missed out on the conundrum as the guy pressed the buzzer just as I said it, so he got it, in fairness. I passed an audition to go on Countdown last year, getting the numbers and the conundrum but when they contacted me to book the date, I declined, which I am slightly sorry for now as I wanted to show Rachel how to do the Magic Square for any number given. Being a whizz with numbers though, I figured she already knows it, but if she didn't I would have loved to have shown her. Hey Ho!

I did, some time ago, but no reply. I'm not that bothered really. Lots of contestants would have wiped me out! I think they put me down as a decent contestant but not a champ. Definitely not a champ!

I was surprised that the guy who lost the final last week , did lose

The guy that won it lives not far from here, in Horwich, near Bolton. I thought there was something unreal about the guy who lost. Some of the words he came up with in the series were unbelieveable to me. It just didn't ring true. But what do I know?

I was surprised he lost as well, but I think it was simply the other contestant was better on the day. I thought they were both brillliant but nowhere near as good as the younger ones on the recent Champion of Champions.

There are contestants from time to time who come up words most people haven't heard of .

I recall one guy who was also brilliant, who came up with the word for an Egyptian pipe , that astounded everyone on the show
