No, didn't see it...but I think that her teeth do fit. It's just the rest of her face doesn't, having had so much "work" done on it!
Watching her now, not impressed, I was a Nick Hewer fan, loved his dry wit. Maybe she'll improve, so far there's no spark between her, Rachel and Suzy.
I think she's a bit of a diva - doubt she'll have much rapport with fellow presenters.
Didn't see it, but I wouldn't expect it all to be perfect at the beginning.

Give her a while to bed in.
I think she's a dreadful woman.

She made her name as Katie Hopkins-esque 'Do you want to know what I think ...' reactionary harridan in the Daily Mirror.

I've always found her 'mean' schtick to be seriously unamusing, and the amount of surgery she has had makes her look really strange, and as advised, her mouth no longer seems to fit her teeth.

I don't watch Countdown but Susie and Rachel are close so they probably won't appreciate her deva-style entrance into their world.

Cats does Countdown is far better - lots of fun and a host who can talk properly.
I'm going to record it and report later ;-)

I don't watch it normally but I was curious today to see how she did. I liked it better with Richard. I also thought she looked alot like a rabbit in the headlights. She tried her best but in my opinion she didn't fit the part.
I didn't like it but I didn't like Nick Hewer either. She was obviously reading everything, so no spontaneity, and still that ridiculous chat with Rachel at the beginning.
I'd like to volunteer as ridiculous chatter with Rachel.
It'll take the pressure off the new host while she beds in.

Take a ticket, there's a (very very VERY long) queue!!

I occasionally watchd it in its very early days.

The ecxhanges between him and Carol Vorderman were excrutiating because he had no sense of humour whatsoever, but still fancied himself as a bit of a witty guy.

Carol Vorderman likewise had no sense of humour, so when Whitely laughed, as he often did through nerves, she was never sure if he had said something that was supposed to be funny, but of course she couldn't ever tell either way.

That meant she would laugh with that loud braying sound that the terminally humourless use to try and appear to be joining in, even when they don't know what's going on.

That meant Whitely had to laugh even more because of course, he had no idea if he was being funny or not, and he had no idea what Carol Vorderman was laughing at either, so his nerves kicked in and he would laugh some more, so she would start laughing again in case something funny was going on, but of course she had no idea either way .....

It was like a grotesque's gallery - really squrim-inudcing televison.

Now we have Rachel Riley who is witty, gorgeous, and every inch the maths genius CV was supposed to be.

Result!!

I didn't watch it religiously, just popped in and out.
Dave and I watch every episode and compete with each other.

Loved when Richard Whitely hosted. He was fun. A few I didn't like after he died but I got used to Nick Hewer.
Colin Murray settled in nicely and I hoped he'd stay.

Not looking forward to Anne Robinson at all.
I think the only way I could watch it with Anne Robinson hosting would be to tie it in with a drinking game. Every time you hear the word "vowel" you have to down a shot...

Like Anne Robinson's teeth then !

Quite lol

I do wish he'd learn to laugh properly too. (Sean Locke makes Cats does Countdown essential viewing, despite Jimmy Carr's presence)
Love your post ginge, she's another lady who has the same voice but not the same face, Carol Vorderman is another.
Mozz - // I do wish he'd learn to laugh properly too. //

Jimmy Carr's laugh is often the subject of discussion and ribbing, often by JC himself.

But we can't help how we laugh, and he says the same as Linda Evangelista used to say when people asked her if she had had a nose job - "Do you think I'd have chosen one like this!!!!!"
If Anne Robinson's as unpopular as she seems I wonder will the number of people applying to be a contestant drop?
