danny, do you think it would damage their reputation to give wrong answers I mean they can't get all the questions right.
Off to the dentist now but will look at the video again later to see which questions the chaser got wrong .
Back from the dentist and have watched The Chase again.
Up until the final round, the chaser got only 1 question wrong, and yet in the final round he got 7 wrong, 2 of which he passed on!
The question is, would the producer be thinking unemployed 20 yr old taking the chaser on on his own, will make good television/ media coverage and whispers in the ear of the chaser to let the lad win?
That is the question and most of you think that wouldn't happen, but I'm not too sure.
That's ok Shirley, you don't have to agree with me because I agreed with you.
It would be a very boring world if we all did that. :-)
I'm really just looking at the facts of how many the chaser got wrong in that round, but as I've never watched him before, I don't know if this is quite normal for him.
Anyway, however it was done, I really am pleased for the lad and good luck to him.
there is no possible benefit to fixing it and huge risk. The show is on often enough that everything that's possible will happen at some point they just have to wait. The chasers are very competitive among themselves and rank each other by performance, they often quote stats, there is no way they would ever deliberately not answer a question they knew, no way. Occams razor me old china.
TTT that's twice you've said Occams razor me old china, and I've no idea what it means.
Does this chaser usually get this many questions wrong, I've never seen him before.
"Does this chaser usually get this many questions wrong, I've never seen him before. " - all of them have bad days some times and they can get bogged down, get the wrong end of the stick, Often they have to jump in when time is short. I saw the the governess fail to get 7 once.
Wow I'm surprised to hear Anne got that many wrong.
I've seen The Dark Destroyer have a bad day in the office, but he was getting questions wrong throughout the show and not just the way this guy did. Only 1 wrong and then 7 with the young lad. Mmmm?
TTT funnily enough I used to be a very naïve person, but that seemed to change the older I got.
I learnt that you shouldn't always believe everything you hear or see.
barsel: " learnt that you shouldn't always believe everything you hear or see. " - fair enough but you should also run it through a reasonableness check and there is no reason to fix the chase.
As I said before, it makes good television, gets people talking, it's in the newspapers, it even got me to watch it!
Will watch the video clip later, off to do my tea now.
