Just finished watching this three episode programme. My over riding feeling is that the Met has within it officers who are quite prepared to be obstructive in the attempt of Black people to obtain justice. It is obvious that Clive Driscoll was enforceably retired almost certainly because life was becoming uncomfortable for his superiors one of which is now Commissioner.
It was an eye opener alright and I agree that Clive Driscoll was retired because he was becoming an embarrassment to his so called superior officers, but at least he got two of the murderers behind bars with his tenacity. The role was played, in my opinion, superbly by Steve Coogan. Whoever chose him for the role played a blinder ! I thoroughly enjoyed the series, it was excellently done.
Totally agree Shirley.I read somewhere it was because he was able to do the South london accent very well. Also a word of congratulation to Mr. Jarman who carried on giving his answer after the defence Barrister tried to stop him.
