I like her, she can be very funny at times but I have to mute the tv and put the subtitles on whenever she is on, and she does seem to be on a lot lately. The pitch of her voice gives me a thumping headache - I get the same with Janet Street Porter but I just switch her off.

Does she affect anyone else in this way? Within minutes my head is thumping.

there are lots of people whose voice annoys me both on radio and TV. None go as far as to physically affect me though and give me an actual headache. i dont know this perso/have never heard of her, but i suppose it's possible she might. it's certainly an interesting phenonemon! is it just the timbre do you think?

She has cerebral palsy and is almost impossible to listen to. She was abominable on QT last night and should never have been invited, People were embarrassed for her, and I had to turn the sound down. I don't know why she is invited onto talk shows and quiz shows -probably to hit their quota of disabled/female and LGBT. Her comedy routines are meant to shock and are crude ans distasteful. I'm not apologizing for my opinion, if you want to go and see that sort of thing then go see her live, but she adds nothing to a TV show as far as I'm concerned.

My comment is absolutely nothing to do with her disability, it is the pitch of her voice and I have the same problem with Janet Street Porter, as I said.
I don't mind Rosie speaking slowly and think what she has to say is usually worth listening to.

I am disappointed that some think it is fine for me to comment about Janet but not say the same about Rosie.

bednobs, it is just the timbre. There are a lot of noises I just can't tolerate and the older I get the more I am affected. My daughter in law is a sweet girl and I love her dearly but her laugh makes my ears rattle

Go look for yourself there are plenty of video clips of last nights QT.

If I met her in everyday life I would be compassionate and listen to her and respect her for trying. But she can't speak properly and is almost impossible to understand so why put her on talk shows?

I've seen her on quite a lot of things, she was in Tokyo for The Last Leg recently and I do wonder if she is being used to tick a lot of boxes by some programmes, not TLL, who capitalise on her disability. I didn't see QT but I think that would be a case in point, they must have known what the reactions would be, it's not HIGNFY after all.

I've only seen the clip of Rosie on QT that I posted on page one and her points were well made.

I certainly can't comment on what else she said on the show, whatever it was I'm unsure it excuses the abuse.

Although I don't enjoy her appearances on various shows, I don't begrudge her her television career. I'm sure she has a big following, so good luck to her. I just won't be watching.

I completely agree with APG. I don't like her humour or find her entertaining at all and am not worried about saying it. And the tone of her voice is quite annoying. Nothing to do with her disability at all. We shouldnt have to tiptoe around disabled people. We should treat them equally.
