I think Bradley said his son got the part as the policeman before he himself was cast as Pa Larkin. I enjoyed it, good relaxing Sunday tv. Missing Bob n Paul Gone Fishing already tho :(

If it is not a remake, as Ducksie said, of the Darling Buds of May then that's different,even if it's based on H. E. Bates book.What aggravates me is that they re-visit old series such as Open all Hours and still Open all Hours was awful.It's not a question of being Grumpy it is annoyed at the programmes we are forced to watch in the name of light entertainment.
