I watched the first in the series. Phew! Bizarre - but compelling - and the dubbing is very good indeed. I'll watch on.

Has anyone else watched it?

Loved it, really quite bizzarre.

Me too, sparkly. I can't imagine where it's going. It reminds me a bit of The Hunger Games - but different - if that makes sense. No, I don't suppose it does. :o)
Question Author
Have you watched much of it? I've only seen the first episode.
Watched it all on Netflix. Keep with it it gets better.
Part 2 I thought a bit dull, but, after that, brilliant.
Question Author
Oooo ... I suspected it might. Thanks Sparkly. I know what I'm watching tonight.
Quite brutal "Player 3 eliminated, bang"
I've not got Netflix but I've seen bits here and there. I read an article the other day about how it is influenced/based on the current economic crisis in Korea, and that many, many young people are in horrendous debt. This takes solving personal debt to a new level.
I'm too scared to watch it!
We watched about 15/20 minutes of it and switched it off, one of the most boring loads of twaddle I’ve seen in a long time. Yet I really enjoyed Hunger Games.
Good job we’re all different ;)
Question Author
I didn't know that, pasta. I'd never heard of it until I saw a bit on Gogglebox the other day and thought it looked like something a bit different.

From what I've seen it is quite chilling, tigger.
I watched a trailer on Webbo's thread on this last week, doesn't look my type of watch.
I've watched most of the Saw films which are quite sickening but weirdly I can't bring myself to watch Squid Game.
I tried watching but lost interest, great if you like that kind of thing. I get bored these days with too many british 9pm thriller dramas too, same old droning false tension sounds and unsteady cam stuff. I did enjoy Vigil but that was a different environment to the usual upper class betrayed housewife etc. Wasn't there a Japanese series Battle Royale? Maybe that you would like too!
No disrespect intended Naomi, but I never had you down as being a fan of such a show. I'm impressed that you gave it a try and pleased you enjoyed it. I will jump onboard the Squid Game hype train myself today, as I have a free afternoon, but it looks right up my street.
Dagman, Battle Royale was a movie based on a comic book, but yes, it was a "survival of the fittest" type scenario.
Question Author
Dagman, I gave up
On Vigil. I thought the plot ludicrous.

Mozz, I have quite diverse tastes.
Question Author
PS. Mozz, Breaking Bad is top of my favourites list. Does that surprise you too?
Nope, I don't know anyone who didn't like Breaking Bad. A few who have never seen it, but it seems to be fairly universally adored.

As was said earlier, we all can have diverse tastes and quite rightly so.
Question Author
Oh I know some who couldn’t watch Breaking Bad. Far too harsh. Actually at the other end of the spectrum Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is up there on my list with Breaking Bad.
