Comedy is probably the most subjective model of entertainment there is, with one person helpless with laughter at a comedian's output, and the next either frozen with humourlessness, or incandesent with offence, sometimes both.
I love Billy Conolly, his swearing doesn't bother me in the slightest - after more than four decades working with telephone engineers, it would be odd if I was upset by any 'strong' language.
But like any other comedian, he is a 'marmite' entity, and clearly he doesn't appeal to you grumpy, which is entirely fair enough.
