I haven’t watched tonight’s episodes but I enjoyed the first 2.
I am interested in the difference compared to Niven’ version.

I've not seen it but I doubt that it could be any worse than the 2004 movie version, with Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan. It was almost universally panned by the critics!

Thoroughly enjoying it. I was reminded tonight that my mother bought me the written story of Jules Verne to encourage my reading when I was a young child. I have seen Niven's version and am more than happy to watch a black Passepartout and a female reporter. Jason Watkins is superb, as ever. David Tennant is a fine actor, imo, as is Lyndsay Duncan. 2 episodes each Sundayis a treat for me. One should not remain in the past but sample new life in everything and then make up one's mind.

In the radio times when David Tennant started on about the British Empire i knew then i would be giving it a swerve,i can not understand why he would take the part if he has such contempt for our history.

Love it and the cast, I like the music too
