Well, that's it!!!!! After trying to decide for what seems like years, I have watched my final episode!!!! Last night's was dire. I kept watching thinking it will get better any minute but it just got worse and a lot of the acting was abysmal too. I cringed every time Steve opened his mouth. I WILL however keep looking on AB in the future to see the comments on the programme and know I have made the right decision!

I gave up on Corrie a good few years back. For a short time, i kept up with what was happening via my Saturday TV magazine. Then, when new characters began to be introduced, i didn't have a clue what was happening and to who, so i gave up reading the weekly synopsis. Almost as life-enhancing as giving up cigarettes after 40 odd years. You'll thank yourself...

Now you'll never know what the evil Lydia is up to, if Gary ever gets charged with murder or how twisted Max becomes.
Coronation St was the only soap that I watched but I gave up on it a few months ago. After reading comments on here and in papers, I think I made the right decision.
After watching it from episode 1 I gave up on it last year when it started to be ruined by daft storylines.

Just to add, i did the same with Emmerdale after Ashley popped his clogs. My home is now 'soap opera-free' and all the better for it, thanks very much.
welcome on board.
Well, I know I said I was going to, but I haven't YET ! I've taken to fast forwarding past a lot of stuff now, which is something I never used to do. The Lydia storyline is bloody stupid ! Sneaking into the hotel and sitting alone at the table right near to Adam and he never even notices her and that walking along with the waitress supposedly trying to hide - I actually laughed out loud. I'm gong to stick with it, for now, because I want her to get caught !

To be fair to the writers though, they do have to keep coming up with ideas all the time and it can't be easy. Let's face it, would it be watched if everybody just had their tea, went to work, had the odd row, in other words if they all lived ordinary everyday lives like most of us ??
I thought it was ok last night. It certainly was better than some previous episodes.

But I WILL know Barry cos you will post it on AB. And I think you are right Ken but I don’t think I CAN give up the ciggies!!!
I only half watch it now, if that makes sense! I presume it was Max who drugged Daniel's drink and Amy drank it by mistake. The restaurant scene was farcical
Mrs sqad says that the acting is appalling and the script writing is just as bad.

Stories are bad and are made worse by overkill and an overpopulation of "kid stars".

Nothing else to watch she says LOL
Mrs Sqad is right. Total rubbish now, but I think I have been programmed to keep watching.
Yes, Lydia. What on earth is her problem?! Who on earth goes to such extremes, she's supposed to be a mother so why ain't she at home looking after her son?!
pat -;)
