Mastermind Celebrities.

Did you watch Mastermind Celebrities this evening? There was a contestant in a yellow trouser suit who was neither a celebrity or a master mind, who was so out of her comfort zone that her answers were either incorrect, flippant or irritatingly banal. This was cringingly embarrassing to watch. Could the BBC not trawl up someone we know and has been granted a decent brain.
For one answer she said 'I don't know coz I wasn't there'. ???

Yes I watched it. The celebrity contestant in the trouser suit was, according to the Radio Times, Radio 1 DJ Snoochie Shy. I’ve never heard of her. I thought her not only absolutely full of herself but thick as …….

This shows her level of intelligence and use of English. I hope the participating employers will be impressed by the contestants.
//This is gonna be such a great show, the candidates are all amazing and I’m having the most fun presenting it! Let’s get dishing out some sick jobs!”//
I do realise what 'sick' means nowadays to some young people.
The BBC falls to even lower standards!

Maybe when the idea was suggested, she heard the 'celebrity' bit, but zoned out when the word 'mastermind' was also used in the same sentence.
I forget who it was who did Fawlty Towers, but I got the same score as she did, as fast as she did, I was dead impressed.
I haven;t studied FT - just watched it regularly since 1976 - one of my friends had one of the first video recorders in our county, and taped them all on broadcast, and we watched avidly night after night.
Then I found that my youngest daughter loves them as mush as i do - cue another ten years of viewing sessions!
No wonder I didn't need to study them for MM!!
