Good morning, all. It's going up to 24 on Monday with a good chance of rain and there's nothing exciting happening today. Hope that you all enjoyed your 4 days of festivities.

it was all well put together and went off without a hitch, even the weather held out.

Hey, Emmie, take the sleeps whenever you can. Some of my best sleeps are in the afternoon when I zonk out for about half an hour or so while reading a book.

The 70th anniversary of the Queen's reign is followed today by the 78th anniversary of D-Day.

George VI was invited to bring his family to safety in Canada...He chose not to.

no indeed, it wouldn't have seemed right. One thing i didn't know was that Buckingham Palace got hit three times during WW2, i thought it was only once, the King and Queen visited many of those bombed out people, showing a solidarity that went down well with the populace at large.
