I don't think they are a good investment and wouldn't bother with them
Interested to read other people's comments though
Looking at the current price of gold, the £69 for each one is about 54% above the value of the gold content.
Question Author
How do you know how much gold content is in each coin ?
The weight should be on the website, this one tells me it is 1/5th oz of 22 carat gold

£69 is the deposit, TCL, the coin costs £700.

Gawd save the king.

There can't be many people buying for the actual gold value , can there ?
Maybe buyers have missed the pricing details like THECORBYLOON did, Bazile.
Who knows the future ? But given the publicity and availability I'd suspect the couple of hundred years option as more likely. Get them if you value them yourself, rather than as a potential investment.
DOUG, the ad I seen featured Michael Buerk flogging a one-eighth sovereign weighing one gramme and issued by Tristan da Cunha.

My calculation was based upon 22/24ths of one gramme of pure gold at the time I posted.
they're souvenirs. Their actual value will go up and down as the gold price fluctuates, but the value of showing one to your grandchildren as proof that you attended the coronation can't be measured in metal alone.
So, if you buy a coin, you get an invitation to the Coronation?
I also wondered what the connexion was between attending the coronation and buying a coin.
so I've heard, Tilly, strictly entre nous
...and the world and his wife! :-)
HM would prefer 'the world and their partner'.
