If people are so worried about Schofield's mental health (as expressed on the radio today) perhaps they should give him some wise words of advice - "when you are in a hole, stop digging". Just when it was becoming yesterday's news he goes on TV and starts bleating. Some people just can't help themselves if there is a camera and gullible public to entertain.

why would anyone care tuppence about whether a TV presenter lied to his family? I also think it's because he's gay, which still irks a lot of people. He's not the first, or even the millionth, person to cheat on his partner, but the amount of publicity it's had is ridiculous.

Nowt to do with him being gay, it is the imbalance of power/authority in the workplace. I would be equally repulsed if a 50+ year old man mentored a 15 year old girl, was in a senior position in her workplace and bedded her. That is not an equal relationship.
I simply cannot understand how anyone in the 50s can want sex with a much younger person they knew as a child.

maybe they just remember that they were young themselves and accept that young people become adults? I'm not sure having known them as a child makes much difference: Al Pacino will be well aware that he was 54 when his current lady was born and she'll be aware of it too.
