Well, that certainly ended on many cliffs, leaving us hanging by our finger nails. If there is not another series I will be very cross indeed - it is becoming too common with drama series lately to not finish off a series properly but not commission the next one.
I am confused about what Kate is doing with her son - has she kidnapped him?
I was also very annoyed at the continuity announcer telling us there is a suicide at the very beginning of the show. That triggered off my anger, let me tell you! Spent the whole blerdy episode trying to work out who was going to kill themselves.
Yes, Barry, too many unresolved storylines, they have probably left it open for another series but if there isnt one then i dont see the point of it all.
I hope there isn't a second series. Wish I hadn't bothered watching the first.

Can't please everyone, lb, but I really don't think you will be strapped to a chair and forced to watch the next series if there is one
Too right I won't Barry. I want some more Peaky Blinders and/or Line of Duty back on our screens again.
Question Author
I loved Peaky Blinders but not the last couple of series so much. Line of Duty is one of my favourite series, bring back Luther, too.
I'm not bothering with the new series of Van der Valk, the first was dire.
I thought the whole series started off well but then slowly got worse, some of the story lines were ridiculous, Kate getting into her young sons house, meeting him from school, telling him that she was his mum......come on, thats ridiculous!!
Also, people back then didn't have fake tans, pure white teeth, botox etc, and they would've been a lot slimmer because of the lack of food they had, thats my opinion on it, very disappointed!

If only! I didn't watch the programme in question and it doesn't sound that I missed much - but television is dire at the moment.
I thought it was very engaging. Some really good acting. Yep, ok, the storylines were exaggerated but not completely unbelievable. A very different subject matter other than yet another crime drama.

I agree Michelle Keegan looked incongruous in the role, she seems to have had some work done around her eyes, too, they seemed pulled. Her eyebrows were all wrong.
It seems every actor has those awful teeth that remind me of early NHS dentures - too big, too white, too even.

Young people are generally bigger, not necessarily fatter. I vary rarely met anyone as tall as me when I was a young man, now I'm just one of the herd - I can even see eye to eye with some young women :D
Question Author
Agree with you, Zacs - I watch a lot of crime dramas and this made a refreshing change. An easy going Sunday night romp
"Too big, too white, too even". Oh how I agree Barry. I can't believe they go to the expense to look as if they have false teeth!! Ridiculous.
Question Author
Couple the teeth with the black, marker pen brows and I don't know whether to laugh or run
I'm not sure about a second series, it was, I think, supposed to be about the families' arrival and settling in Australia, presumably they would now just go on with their lives. The ending was the next bus load arriving for their first impressions seemed to imply that the process just continued.
It did make me quite pleased that I didn't manage to persuade my parents to go though, I don't think they would have done well in that very physical environment.
Michelle Keegan looked very odd in this, and certainly not like someone in the 1950s. Must have cost a lot to produce, but it just sort of petered out.
I'm confused..did the couple with the pregnant daughter have to leave their home as ordered? And what was Kate doing with her son.
Oh yes B, the enormous eyebrows that nearly meet into a monobrow. Ghastly.
Question Author
Cliffhangers, Neti
No news on a second series as yet, but like zebo I think if there is it will continue with the bus load of people who arrived at the end
