Went to YOUTUBE and had a good few hours watching the Michael Parkinson interviews, that was television at its best , people like the then Cassius Clay, Bob Mitchum who was clearly drunk and that bloody awful Emu thing that attacked him, he was not a happy man

Bobbs, I think the one with Emu will never be forgotten. Poor Michael.
I respected Mr Parkinson's ability to ask a question, and keep quiet while hexwas answered, but disliked his 'professional Yorkshireman' persona.

His treatment of a young Helen Mirren was appalling, and she handled his bad manners better than he deserved.

I think that’s what you get with Yorkshiremen Andy, straight and direct , I loved his Yorkshirness :0)

YesBarsel , what a feckn pest that bird was haha
Bobbi - I think you're right, but I always dislike entertainers leaning on their roots to create a false persona, when in reality they have left that world behind a long time ago.
Never mind Bobbisox.
You can watch episode 2. Series 2 of World on Fire tonight or
you could Watch Winds of War with a sober Robert Mitchum on Plex or a DVD. The box set would keep you viewing to the new year and better than reading War and Peace.

Andy, it's funny you should say this
//I think you're right, but I always dislike entertainers leaning on their roots to create a false persona //
Yesterday on Facebook people were really criticising Cilla Black and her 'falseness' shall we say, about her being a scouser.
On her shows, she came across as being very Liverpudlian, pleasant and friendly, and yet apparently she was a proper diva behind the scenes, and not very likeable at all.
Apologies for going off-subject Bobbs. x
^yes, and all other sane people.
Yes. There are a lot of stuff you can subscribe to, and i enjoy the History stuff because the content goes into every day life of the past.

Question Author

Create and Craft and other purveyors of Chinese made 'crafting' supplies have been on Christmas for weeks.

Having been married to one who's held in thrall by the wittering dweebs for a considerable number of decades I've noticed the shift from what was raw materials to what can only be described as kits to be assembled by the least talented and most deluded in the name of creativity.
