Will The Real Poirot Please Stand Up
I tried watching Murder on the Orient Express with the excellent Kenneth Branagh as Poirot - but he just doesn't cut it. He just felt 'wrong'. David Suchet is a hard act to follow in that role. I feel the same about Daniel Craig as Bond. Sean Connery or Roger Moore he ain't.
Which actors do you think have been entirely miscast in movies?

Branagh was poor as Poirot but he has a history of taking a character and trying to reinvent it, why he thought he could play Wallender is way beyond me.
I agree with Barry1010 on Agatha Raisin. She's so not how she comes across in the books. I see her as more like Alexandra Shulman; a fashion type, but a little bit frumpy, too.
I can't bear to watch Suchet's mimsying and the silly moustache. I guess KB wanted to put his own stamp on the role, but that dead squirrel strapped to his face didn't help at all.
//I'm alover of all things Rebus, but I can't watch the TV series with John Hannah. Rebus HAS to be played by Ken Stott, that's who I see/saw when I read the full series of books.//
Didn't Hannah's company initially have the rights to the Rebus books, hence his portrayal in the first series? Stott is perfect for Rebus, I wonder if they'll make any more?
