I think it is some sort of divine intervention, Do you remember the first episode when Maya said to him "what's happened to you, you used to use your gut instinct" ,and that's exactly what he has to do in 1973, he has to use his gut rather than technology.

I just think it is a sort of point of being born again so to speak.

Didn't get much sleep Monday night thinking about that programme and what I'd do in his position!
