poor me ......another drink
George Galloway was twittering on to Barrymore (CBB) when he used this phrase. Pete said it is an old phrase, like 'saving for a rainy day.' I have never heard it, has anyone else.
George has 'never met a more selfish, self-centred person' as Barrymore. Saddam, anyone?

The show has demonstrated starkly how a skillful politician can take the arguments or protests of others and turn the conversation around whilst avoiding actually dealing with the matters raised. I think George's apearance on the show has harmed not only his image, but that of politicians generally.
pete was just defending george - he know that this not a common phrase and he claimed it was to try and make preston doubt himself and feel stupid for reacting the way he did.
GG is finished in his career, cannot believe that he thinks the public are on his side!
PB is just a twisted old failure who can't accept reality and doesn't like anyone else who has anything going for them that he himself cannot have - like youth etc
his persistance with calling 24 year olds 'kids' says it all really.
when he sees traits in other people that he himself possesses he hates it and attacks them... he needs help.
