Pete Burns.............
Is a really nasty piece of work, a truly horrible specimen....he started out reasonably funny, but his bitchiness, sarcasm, hypocrisy and bullying have reached uncomfortable proportions.
My question is this - as most people appear to be prepared to have a toe to toe argument, why hasn't anybody taken Burns to task and told him to shut the F up with his bullying etc..., you damn freak (or is it because he is a freak that people are prepared to allow him to behave in this manner).?????

I think eventually someone will take him on, but George is the only one who can argue calmy (sometimes!) and possesses the verbal dexterity to take PB on - watch this space!
I think that the others are genuinely intimidated by him, because he IS a bully, and because it is not possible to have a rational conversation with him. And being in such a confined space with someone who will not give up on a line of attack, would make me think twice about tackling him. At one point the said to Traci "who do you think you are to tell ME etc etc" - I am sure I wasn't the only one shouting at the tv "and who do you think YOU are, you washed up 80s popstar who made one decent record 20 years ago".
I notice that neither George nor Pete has taken on Dennis, because they are physically scared of him, the mark of true bullies - they only take on people they think they can beat.
I thought MB handled it really well last nite and didn't break down.He looks much better than when he first went in.
I used to work with someone like this. A Man so unspeakably nasty that everyone around him was intimidated by his behaviour (including his bosses). As Andy-hughes has said about PB, he was clever in his manipulations. He stopped just short of doing anything sackable, and cultivated just the right amount of friendships with the right people in order to continue his reign of bullying.
Basically you didn't take this sociopath on because you knew your working life would be made miserable if you did. The best you could do was avoid him.
Management eventually got rid of him. He's no doubt carrying on in the same vein elsewhere.
