Incidental music/80's Theme crossover

Not even sure if Teenage Mams gets shown outside Wales but..

During last weeks episode there was a small peice of incidental music which either was, or was extremely similar to the opening bars of an 80's landmark TV series. Its the name of the series I'm after.

It goes "Dum-dum............ting." twice. Thats all I have.

Any thoughts?
