Am I missing something?... A few weeks ago there was a storyline where a little girl went missing. Now as far as I know, I've watched every episode, and they dont seem to have finished the story... Did they find the little girl?...

Maybe they are sowing the seeds for a future storyline, and will come back to it.

I've logged that myself,Sarah. I think they should have continued with that story until it finished (hopefully,with the girl safe and sound). The Smithy story and last night's installment (though good) could have waited.

Considering they were saying how much of an important case it was, and the episodes were focused on that storyline alone for a number of weeks, it seems odd that they've sort of just forgot about it. By the time they come back to it, people will have forgotten what actually happened!

Apparently the actor who plays the girl's father has been signed up for a nine month stint. We should be extremely bored by then.

It could also be that the storyline as it would originally progress was too close to a real life incident, so was edited out of supsequent episodes for the time being.
