I wouldn't watch it. I think constant reminders of such a massive tragedy are really not good for people. It brings it all back, solves nothing, and simply underlines how evil some people can be.
..very true andy-hughes...but what about all the films that were made about WW2 , Hitler, the Holocaust..?

The story follows the plane that "fought back", and the relatives of the people on this plane think it is a good thing as it highlights how courageous they were.

I think it is too soon, but would probably watch it anyway

I'd watch it. Although I think its maybe too soon for the families of people involved but then you are never forced into watching anything.
its way too soon but its yet another good reason for all the big movie companys to cash in and make lots of money.in england we have had our fair share of tragedys inc, ripper, dunblane, lockerbie to name but a few but there has never been a movie about the yorkshire ripper etc because i believe we brits are more civilised and care about feelings for the victims families

Slightly different ermintrude 35 - that was world war, and no film of the Holocaust actually in action has been re-made as a cinema feature.

This was an act of terrorism against a group of people who's only crime was their country of origin, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

its too soon, they should wait another 15 -20 years when its not as painful in peoples minds and becomes another piece of history like the holocaust, or the ripper,

It will always be painfull for the relatives whether it's now or in 20 years time,i agree studios will cash in on anything.. The film is been shown to the familes of the people on the plane before release and the majority of the familes supported the film from the start as it show how brave they were in such a terrible situation...

The Americans (having never suffered any real great losses in international wars or having never been invaded) have blown 9/11 out of all proportion.
It was obviously horrific but we all know the Americans are prone to over reaction and melodrama.
Confronting difficult situations is part of the healing process and us Brits were making war films whilst the Second World War was still going on for crying out loud!
Art, in whatever form, should reflect the era and events of the time it is being produced in. If just one person thinks it is the right time for a film then that is good enough.
What i would say to those who say it is 'too early' - get over it and move on.

People have been making films about 9/11.....but they ask too many questions about exactly what went on and who knew what.....

It's far too soon. It's something I'll never forget. I remember exactly where I was stood when I found out and I don't need reminding of it thank you very much. I feel for those who lost loved ones on 9/11. I just can't help feeling that it's really not necessary to make it into a film. Not what I'd call entertainment.
i think as long as the families approve then there is no problem...what about michael moore's film, it was only 2 yrs after 9/11. i would watch it because the tragedy affected me as i lost 2 friends on honeymoon. its still raw i know but if the families approve then where is the harm?
I've noticed only people who disagree with the idea get stars. ^^ I did this with one of my questions :)
gary baldy - I can't agree that Americans are blowing 9/11 out of proportion. Yes, you can cite bigger tragedies such as the second world war/holocaust - but that isn't the point. The thing that makes 9/11 so raw is the fact that so many innocent people were murdered by a group of fanaticists (sp?) who STILL think they were justified in their actions - it brought home to people who live in civilised nations that they are vunerable and could meet the same fate one day on their way to work. I'm not an emotional person but the thought of 9/11 and the stinking scum that did this makes me sick. With regards to the film - films were being produced during the second world war as part of a propaganda effort - it was all jolly hockey sticks and such - what they didn't do was produce films describing with such details, specific events in which thousands of civilians were murdered.

No I don't!
Yes I will!
