Is it really true, there is not going to be a second series? It was such a good ending, cliffhanger last night, I cant believe its not coming back on again...

I thought it took a long time to get where it was going, but was quite good when it got there. The trouble is, in the U.S., if it doesn't pick up a good sized audience early on, then it doesn't get the backing for a second series.

I was annoyed that it ended on a cliff hanger, having stuck with it throughout, but this is the problem with most American series'.

The Networks are only interested in profit rather than resolving story lines satisfactorily. They either drag a series out endlessly until the audience is bored, as they did with the 'X Files', or dump the series without a suitable ending as in the case of 'Invasion' and the brilliant, 'Over There' which was on Sky.

It makes me wonder whether I should bother to keep watching 'Lost', or will that prove equally frustrating.
