not really a question...Bad Lads Army

just watching the repeat of 'Bad Lads Army Extreme'. Just how fabulous is it!!!
I love to see all these 'hard nuts' break down so easily after a couple of days...and then slowly get rebuilt...and realise what utter morons they've been.
I think it would be such a good alternative to prison or young offenders institution....but it would have to be 1950's style.

Theres too many do gooders and not enough practicality when treating people of lower intelligence which is what most of them are, not all but the majority. They have to realise that there are other people in the world that matter, not just them. And that most people that have the things they want have had to work hard and long for them.
Nummy, i said exactly the same thing to my husband. Instead of young offenders institutes they ought to make em all do this! Much better. Somewhere they can learn some respect for others and learn to take orders. They wouldn't get away with anything and they wouldn't be allowed to leave so easily like that little scrote who bowed out in the first episode.
In the last series there was one chap who i really got to like. He had ginger hair and glasses and came out of it really well, as do most of them.Does anyone else remember him?

I'm sorry, but it says it all when they say that a 12 month stint in jail was a walk in the park. All home comforts, computer games, tv's, weekly allowances......erm, it's supposed to be a punishment.
Bet that guy had a tougher time that one night spent in solitary in the camp than the whole of his time in jail.

it's not the punishment aspect of it (although it's a plus!), it's the fact that these guys have made other people utterly miserable, then they encounter guys that, not only can't be pushed around, but will push back!! they're not used to it. and the shock is sometimes what they need.
Also the fact that it's these guys that want them to do well...they may push and shove and shout, but they can see that there is more to these recruits than the utter wasters they currently are.
it is great to watch them develop over the weeks...and many of them do seem to make a terrific turnaround.
