Horror film

Ok this is a long shot but I was wondering if this film seems familiar to anyone. I seem to remember seeing a film on the tv by accident when I was really young in the mid-late 80s (I'm 27 now). I may well have dreamt it but the first scene I remember is a wide view of a couple packing boxes and things, looks like they're moving house (looks 70s style) and there's an old painting on the back wall of a person and it's eyes are moving, following them around. Then a knife picks up off a table on it's own and stabs the lady in the back. That's all i remember about that bit. Then another scene is a sort of hazy view from a pram and there are people in victorian clothing looking into the pram. All sounds a bit weird I know. Probably is a dream. The odd thing is though, that I seem to remember it being on tv straight after the film, 'The Swarm'. If anyone can let me know if they recognise this it would be great. It's always bugged me! Thanks
