Possibly 'The Crazy World of Arthur Brown'?
Question Author
yes!
i think thats it. well done you. thanks :D
The rather wonderful Arthur Brown is still performing today, although I think he ditched the flaming helmet when his hair caught fire once too often! Fans of the earliest incarnation of the band may remember a (very) young Carl Palmer from Emerson Lake And Palmer, on drums.
Why is it, whenever I hear that music, I think of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, even though I know OBonio's right?

Are the two linked, or have I just lost the plot?
It's definitely The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, who influenced Alice Cooper, allegedly.
Didnt see it but 80s song fire was by sly and robbie
