BBC afternoon plays

Does anyone know if these can be bought on video or cd? I have searched but didn't get anywhere, so am probably going to be out of luck.

When you say The Afternoon Play, do you mean radio or TV ?
The BBC are unlikely to release the TV plays on CD.
And they may be difficult to market on DVD.
They don't get the biggest of viewing figures. And not everyone who watches the Afternoon Play will want to buy it.

So to answer your question, it is unlikely they will be released.
All you can hope for is a "best of" box set .
Keep an eye on the BBC shop via the bbc website.

The plays were on BBC1. I meant DVD not CD.

I think most companies have stopped releasing video tapes, as sales are so low.
Few shops too are stocking them.
I don't think 2/Entertain ( the BBC DVD arm )release any video tapes any more, only disc.
