the day after tommorrow

Does anyone know if, in the not too distant future, there will be a film similar to the day after tommorrow focusing on the catastrophic consequences of global warming? I know it's very Hollywood but they do it so well.

The day after tomorrow was about global warming....have you watched the film? The increase in temperatures melts ice causing more cold water to enter the sea and muck with the gulf stream effectively turning it off and causing the temperatures to plummet.
