whats the differnece between the butterfly effect and the directors cut?

Its the endings, In the theatrical version Evan goes back to when he was small and moves away so Kayleigh never knew him.

in the directors cut he goes back to when he was being born and kills himself in the womb.

Just for the sake of acurracy he actually goes back and tell's Kayleigh he hates her and he will kill her mother if she ever talks to him again, this is because on one of the paths she tells him the reason she chose to stay with her father and put up with the abuse was because she liked him.
