why did they change the colour of the card in the boxes? (with the number on)

Im sorry if this has been asked before but i have checked through the other questions when i submitted this question and couldn't see it.

I assumed it was just to make it easier to instantly recognise whether it was a 'blue' (low) or a 'red' (high) amount.

yeah probs just that. ive been watching the old repeats on more 4 recently before they changed the style of the numbers in the boxes! it all looks so old back then!
