One of the best series ever on TV, imho. The DVDs are well worth getting - and there's a new series in the pipeline apparently. I worked with David Threlfall on his forthcoming film incidentally, and he's nothing like Frank!
A great show... Funny and touching at the same time without anything too cutsy.
(Sorry to hijack Horace but rather than put up another thread. The director that did this I think also did something on BBC 1 about a politican who's mistress was murdered and the journalists who investigated the story which I also rather liked. I don't suppose you know what that was called do you?)
Ah well, just a thought. I'll post a question later.
Well if I'm remembering correctly, I'm sure I read an interview with the Director and that Shameless is actually based on his life growing up on an estate... with a few embellishments no doubt... which would explain why it is so realistic.
china doll hi again i live on a similar estate and think thats the only way he could of got it spot on its like looking out of my flat window sometimes ha ha.
