Music in the departed

there is a piece of music in this film,and it's been it goodfellas and i think it used to be in an ad for the aa or rac. it's like an electric guitar piece. not alot to go on i know but has anbody got any ideas?

Maybe it's on the goodfella's soundtrack, you can listen to samples on Amazon, but they haven't got the sample music from The Departed soundtrack, sorry.

Is it Layla By Cream/Eric Clapton ? The full version is used in Goodfellas where they discover the bodies after the Lufthansa heist and bears little resemblence to the usual radio played version.

When you mention the AA/RAC it brought to mind the Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter, which coincidentally is also on the soundtrack to The Departed.
