Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

I've just watched a couple of programmes .Can't tell you much about them though as fell asleep . Wide awake now ..bgr.
I don't like cranberries but do like apples especially russets or jonagold .They do loads of different varieties at the Farmers market ..all local .
Some of these supermarket apples have no taste to speak of really .God knows how long they've had 'em knocking around .I bought some plums recently in Morrisons and they were still like bullets after a week .I threw them out for the birds in the end .

Morning biddies. I agree I find those Pink Lady apples yukky sweet and woolly. We always get Granny Smiths, as there is not a lot of choice. We had an orchard when we were kids and all different varieties of apples, and my favs were Russetts, haven't had one for yonks!

Am still in bed, having already got up and made sandwiches for Mr N an hour ago. Sun is streaming through the windows, looks rather damp still. I want to wear my woolly headband but don't think it is cold enough!

Hope shaney is feeling better. Howe is Mr S these days? Is he on the recovery road?

Love to you all hope all ailments have cleared up.
Good morning Everybiddy. Had a good nights sleep and did I need it after yesterday's shopping expeditions etc..

Apples...Yes I buy loads and all sorts. At the moment I'm on Rubens, grown in Kent. I always buy British. These are small ones but quite 'rosy' and have a sweet taste which I look forward to. I have one chopped up in my porridge every morning.

I hope you all have a good day. It promises to be another sunny one here. I'm off out with my sister (Fuscia) today to meet 2 friends we grew up with in the same Avenue until we were about 15 and we have remained friends ever since. We meet up every year now for a meal around Christmas. We're going to a restaurant at a local golf course near where my youngest son lives. I doubt I'll bump into him.

I'm just listening to the first Christmas song I've heard on BBC2. It's The Pogues & Kirsty's one and only - they play it every year don't they.

That xmas song jude, when I first heard it not so long ago overhere, I thought it was awful, but now it means xmas to me!
Morning all...white rabbits!
Hope, like the weather, you're all feeling brighter, it's quite pleasant here.

Woolly! Yes that describes the apples perfectly neti. Think I'll amble to the shops in a while and buy some frozen puff pastry...well you didn't expect me to make my own did you? Actually I used to be good at pastry - cold hands - but cakes aren't really my thing, probably because I cut corners. I object to putting half a dozen eggs into one cake.

Not really keen on cranberries thanks woofy...ne'er mind, it's December, tis the season to stuff face. I heard the first xmas song a couple of days ago and it went off, sharpish... http://kboo.fm/sites/...mages/smash_radio.jpg

Time to get your sprouts on btw.
Question Author
Robi what do mean by getting the sprouts on? Is there something I should know? We can't ever rely on getting any here, but there are some in a shop at the mo, so will have to buy them and blanche them then freeze for xmas day. Mr N loves sprouts, hija and I only eat one for luck
Hi all
Not a bad day here after a dull start .
Hope you are all OK .
I've doped myself up and gritting gnashers am off into town .If I'm not back by midnight send out a search party .
I put my sprouts on way back in August Robinia .....well,that's what Vinny always does :)
Be good ,see you later .
Hi,

Feeling tired and groggy - have done I suppose since last week's episode. Been out for a coffee and don't intend to do anything much with the rest of the day. I might even go back to bed. My head aches.

Sorry for moaning.

See you later

Why do they take so long? Is this a joke.
Isn't the sprouts thing a Terry Wogan running joke?
Yay ..I had a good shopping expedition .Card Factory .Marks ,Key Lime pie and PJ bottoms , plus a teal fleece top for a SiL's birthday .Found a lovely cross body bag for her as well .Bread for Mr S. from H&B ( pumpernickel ) and a few other odds and ends .Nice chat with a nice lady on the bus home .

Just having a small drinkie and checking on the sprouts ......still a bit hard :)
I have posted off all foreign and local cards and pressies except the ones for immediate family, and I even managed to buy most of those today too, so am feeling triumphant.

Hallelujah! Shopper of the Year!
have emptied a filing cabinet and put it on free cycle today, done some odd bits of business, updated computer programs and had a delivery from waitrose.
Egg salad and chips for tea.

Evening each. Had a busy but happy day. Lunch was good with friends and sister, my main meal wasn't particularly good so I did have a bit of a moan but they didn't refund me or anything (I wont be ordering tht again) but we had a good laugh and a 'chinwag'. My sister did the driving so I just relaxed and had a drink (Baileys). Then when I got home I decided to to do my front garden. Trimmed a couple of bushes and dug about a bit. The ground was quite soft and easy to cope with. Had to replant a few bulbs I accidentally dug up. Just finished my tea and sorting emails etc..

Sorry your feeling 'off it' Lottie I hope a good night sleep helps to make you feel better.

I love sprouts but Steady never did. I used to mash one up and try to hide it on his plate but he always knew. He was the same with peas. I don't know what he eats now, living on his own. He looks fit enough though so why worry, but you do don't you!

I hope you all have a good night..I'm looking forward too tomorrow nights footie!!

If I don't shift myself in the morning to the PO they'll get them sometime in February probably .
