Was pondering- whilst watching the Last Samurai last night (ace film!) that apart from 1 film I can't recall Tommy (we on 1st name terms now) ever doing a dire film....well can think of one, Days Of Thunder, but that's only because the topic itself (cars racing- yawn) did nowt for me.
A bad film? Mission Impossible 1, 2 and 3. That thing with the planes, War of the Worlds....sorry did I understand the question correctly? Are you looking for bad films you say? Arent they all bad if he's in it?
rofl, noooooooooooooo
I know he's a little 'un but I can't help but like him. I must be some sort of film pleb then because personally I'm almost guaranteed enjoying a film that he's in.
"Eyes Wide Shut" and "Vanilla Sky" ? Probably more the subjects...
But most of his older stuff is bearable though , seems to have gone off the boil professionally as Paramount has stated.
Rain man was the best film he made, The firm didn't work for me because he was the smartest lawyer in the USA but too him the whole film to realise who he was working for.
the worst for me was a toss up between mission impossible and war of the worlds
Some of the earlier ones are a bit sh1t but thats because it was the 80s. The guy is film gold. MAgnolia and Vanilla sky have been his most cracking films by far. I love himk and his kooky scientology ways.
Only really liked him in Last Samurai and I didn't have high hopes for that. We only went to see it because of the subject and I was pleasantly surprised.
Then I saw War of the Worlds and knew Samurai was a one-off!!
