TV Complaints - who to contact?

Following on from the post below, I was really upset watching the treatment of the python in the comedy awards last night, and really want to complain. I have tried contacting Ofcom, but their web site is under repair, who elso is it best to contact when wanting to complain about something on TV.
(I sound like Victor Meldrew, but it was so totally pointless and cruel).

how was it cruel? I mean, I love all animals and hate it when they are badly treated, but I cant see how the snake was badly treated.

They dropped it on the floor!
It was in a really alien sitaution, the heat and noise were something I am sure it was not used to, not to mention the incredibly bright lights. At one point Jonathan Ross was tugging at it's tail. You could see it was distressed and trying to escape.

Plus it had to put up with Chris Tarrents long winded rubbish rambling.....

If Nigel Marvin thought for one moment it was in distress he would never have agreed to take the snake on stage or would have took it off immediately. I think you should trust him as he's the expert. If you drop a python that size from 6 ft in the air - it's not going to hurt it !

I know snakes are pretty tough, and considering the size of it, I doubt it hurt it. But that is not my point, it was out of it's normal environment, the noise, vibrations, lights and people pulling it about seemed harsh to me for a cheap laught, but then again I am a bit of a wuss.

How do we know it wasn't a seasoned pro and used to the bright lights and probably had its own make up artist and agent !! It might never have seen the jungle of borneo and probably lives at London Zoo in its own Winebago ;~)

and sends out for pizza ! However, joking aside I feel the place for animals is at best in the wild, second best in a very well managed wildlife park and certainly not on any screen or advertisement or tv programme.
