every mp3 you'll find of "mcrawhide" claims it was by Billy Connolly. in fact it was recorded by The Chaps, and was released in 1982.

A parody of Rawhide was also done in the film Blues Brothers and was released as an album track by the Blues Brothers.

The Blues Bros didn't do a parody, just a cover ...
