God... so many.... begginning of 'a clockwork orange' when the camera slowly zooms in on the droogs in the moloko bar, the tricycle on the hotel floor of the outlook 'the shining' - also who can forget the 'here's Johnny!!!' scene???, Elias's death in 'platoon' (very sad), the 'rose petal' scene in American beauty (my fave all time movie), 'i was lucky... it was amateurs night' car-bomb scene from casino (which also challenges for my fave all time movie... so many to choose from!!!!!

Too many to list, but here's a few(!) that spring to mind (hopefully I've got the HTML right!). It's gonna be in two parts:

Moving moments:

Armageddon ' the 'Hero Walk', 'That's your father'; Babylon 5: In the Beginning ' Londo's description of the Human spirit, the call to The Battle of the Line; Braveheart ' hung, drawn and quartered; Dragonheart ' Draco goes 'to the stars'; Fellowship of the Ring ' the fellowship is formed, 'Oi made a promise, Mr Frodo'; Independence Day ' call to arms (corny, I know); The Joy Luck Club ' family reunion in China (even my dad cried!); Ladyhawke ' dawn in the pit, the curse is lifted; Mulan ' the emperor thanks Mulan; Rouge ' Fleur finds Chan; Schindler's List ' the safe arrival of the women, Schindler leaves the camp, the graveside tributes from the survivors; The Shawshank Redemption ' Red gets to the boat; Spartacus ' 'I'm Spartacus!'; Starman ' the deer, 'You are at your best when things are at their worst'; A Summer Story ' the grave; The Two Towers ' the charge down the hill to Helm's Deep

Spectacle:

Altered States ' the first trip in South America; Armageddon ' meteor strikes; Independence Day ' the countdown ends; Fellowship of the Ring ' 'Behold the Dwarf Kingdom of Moria'; Pearl Harbour ' the attack (the rest of the movie sucks); The Thing - CPR

Didn't quite get it right, hopefully part 2 will be OK

Ultra-violence:

Assault on Precinct 13 ' the first wave; Conan ' the trio attack Tulsa Doom's palace; Hard Boiled ' the morgue shoot-out; Hard Target ' Jean Claude manages to shoot at a truck whilst balancing on a motorbike, then somersaults over it and lands on his feet, still firing; The Killer ' the church shoot-out; The Matrix ' Lobby Scene; Near Dark ' slaughter in the bar

Just look cool:

Black Rain ' Andy Garcia loses his head; Blade Runner ' opening swoop over the city; Predator 2 ' the tube attack; Remo ' Remo dodges the bullets; Unbreakable ' the train station

Great Songs/Music:

Cry Baby ' Please Mr Jailer; Hercules ' I Won't Say (I'm In Love); Beauty and the Beast (Disney) ' the ballroom scene; Joe's Apartment ' Funky Towel, Sewer surfing: Little Shop of Horrors ' Downtown; Moulin Rouge ' Roxanne; Starship Troopers ' Klendathu drop

'Ah ha!'

The ends of Momento; Mullholland Drive; Twelve Monkeys; Unbreakable; The Usual Suspects

Chilling/tense:

By Dawn's Early Light ' will they turn back?; Prince of Darkness ' the message on the computer; Se7en ' Sloth, 'Don't open the box': Strange Days ' the cops catch Mace

Made me laugh:

Mom and Dad Save the World ' 'Do they have birds that big on your planet?', 'Do they think that we'll fall for that old trick?'; Remo ' Chiun escapes across the water; Zoolander ' the model of the Derek Zoolander Institute

"It's not about love, it's about showing you the money" SHOW ME THE MONEY Jerry Maguire, one of my favourite films of all time. Cuba Gooding Jr., superbly cast as Rod Tidwell and the above line is an all time classic.
'We don't need any stinkin' badges' - Blazing Saddles.

Ooh, how about the scene between Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken in True Romance (or any scene in that film for that matter) or the school scene set to Tears for Fears' "head over heels" in Donnie Darko? I could go on but I fear I won't stop!
Scene right at the end of Heat, with Pacino and De Niro. Wont spoil it if you haven't seen it.
Johne Wayne kissing Maureen O'Hara in "The Quiet Man". Why? because.
btw i thoroughly recommend this film as a "p1$$ed but need something to watch while i eat my donner kebab on a friday night" film....
Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indy pulls out his revolver and shoots the swordsman dead. Absolute class!
crocodile dundee. Thats Not A Knife This Is A Knife.
Another big favourite I think you'll all agree in Planes Trains & Automobiles. Steve Martin> wheres your hand. (it was round his neck) Steve Martin> wheres your other hand John Candy> between 2 pillows Steve Martin> those aint pillows Superb comedy....... p.s see that bears game last week!
My favourite scene is in The Shawshank Redemption, when they are looking for Dufrense in his cell, and realise he has tunnelled his way out when they throw a rocks at a poster of Raquel Welch, & it goes straight through.
In "Go" when one of the charecters is severly under the influence of illegal substances and is having a mental conversation with the cat. (Memories of a mis-spent youth) In American Pie II when the dad's being really supportive after whatever his name has superglued his p*nis to a video. He says goodbye and as he gets out of the car Dad says "Don't forget your p*nis cream son"
