I used to watch Lost (the first 2 series) before I forgot to pay my Sky subscription (they don't like it you know) anyway, I recently watch a bad TV 80's film called Shipwrecked, which seemed remarkably similar, anyone know if Lost was based on it?

I don't recall the movie Shipwrecked but I'm sure the creators of Lost were "influenced" by Danger Island...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that they've picked up ideas elsewhere.

Let's face it, you're probably better off not watching Lost anyway. The network is bound to cancel it when the ratings drop off, leaving all those unanswered questions.

Hey your're right, the film I meant was Danger Island, sorry poor memory ;-).

Glad I'm not the only one who saw the similarity. And if the film's anything to go by, the end of Lost just aint worth watching ;-)
Hi, I googled Danger Island as I could not remember the old show. I remember it from the Banan Splits show now.
But, a new reality show called Danger Island is being created. It's premise is disturbing:
Real Life convicted felons competing against bountyhunters to win One million American dollars to be given the victim of their last crime. They also can win scholarships for their own children Have we gone too far in reality programming???

EngTeach, is this for real!!!!
Incredible as it sounds...

Danger Island Reality Show

It seems to be genuine.

As far as I'm concerned, reality tv went to far with series 2 of Big Brother. This however, well it just makes me want to weep for the future of tv.
