Not getting some Sky channels
3 Answers
I am with Sky but have noticed in the last few days that I cannot get Channel 4 + 1 (not tried before so I dont know if I have ever had it). It shows a blocky picture and no sound.
Just checked True Movies and they are the same, but I have watched those before.
I rang Sky the other night and went through the turning the set off and waiting for a minute and checked all the leads, but no good. They said I would have to have an engineer out. This seems a bit drastic when the majority of channels are working OK.
Anyone any thoughts on the cause / solution please?

After a lot of phone calls we reluctantly agreed on having the engineer come out and the box was replaced. We looked into similar problems on the web and the most popular theory was that the older boxes could'nt cope with the automatic software upgrades for the HD boxes. We mentioned what we had read about to the engineer and he more or less admited that this was a problem. Our box was replaced and we have had no problams since
