Does anyone know of an area that could pass for an arizona type desert road - in the UK?

I obviously have considered the highlands, the yorkshire moors and quarries in wales, but I need somewhere more specific - i don't know if any of the above have similar areas, I need the name of an actual area...

Thanks all

i don't know anyway but looking forward to suggestions from others (defiantly not Yorkshire moors)
Somewhere like a beach with sand dunes would be more appropriate.
Have to go with a Dune type area.
the trouble with the UK is that its a bit damp here.

It would depend on the kind of scene you're after. A desert gorge could be achieved in open mine quarries.
Open desert you will definitely struggle with though.

If you want a concrete road through a desert type gorge then there is Cheddar gorge in the south west, or perhaps snake pass near sheffield / glossop.

One way you may find joy is to go to google maps and enter the word 'gorge'. may bring up something in the UK.
Tipton
clearly you won't get deserts in the uk. but a place springs to mind where you can look along a long straight road over desolate moorland to distant peaks...... and that's the A82 between Bridge of Orchy and Glencoe.
