old tv series found

i had apost yesterday asking for the name of an old kids tv show that was on every hols and no one had come up with the right answer. well after alot of googling various different ways of putting dubbed foreign tv show i found it. it was called silas and it was german and not as i originally thought from czech... but i was right about the horse it was black.

I remember Silas ! It must have been on during the school holidays in the mid 1980's. I remember that wonderful black horse and the little boy - did he play a flute or am I imagining that part ?

yes silas was the little boy. could have been silas s friend that played the flute though the end tune was rather haunting so maybe thats where you are remembering the flute from misty. im not clever enough to link you to you tube but i did find clips of silas there.
