Watched this show last night still non the wiser of what really happened. Michael Barrymore was a great entertainer in his heyday why did it all go wrong!

I recorded it and need to watch it again! I'm like you Mary T I'm still non the wiser. I miss him tho. I thought he was a very funny talented man.

I, like many, always thought of him as one of the greats of comedy, but now, knowing what he did in his private life even though you may say it`s up to him what he does, I can never watch his face on my T.V again. It makes my skin crawl.

I personally thought he was the most unfunny "comedian" on TV. His "jokes" merely consisted of pointing out other people's misfortunes or how they looked. Watching some old repeats of "Strike It Lucky" reinforces that belief.

I guess what comes around, goes around.

I used to love watching him - he was the sort of uncle everyone should have at their wedding. Then all this came out and I realised he wasn't the sweet, slightly eccentric cheeky chappie that he portrayed to the world. For him to be have that sort of lifestyle was bad enough but I could have put up with that - but to do nothig to help the chap - and actually do a runner and hide in the bushes.

What a creep.

And what really gets my goat is that he honestly believes himself to be the victim in all this. He doesn't seem to understand that if we, the public don't want to pay to see him then we are under no obligation to do so. Its not spite - its choice, pure and simple.

the guy was a talentless moron and I'm glad his star was extinguished so that more able entertainers could enjoy the limelight.
