kids tv program from the eighties

can anyone remember a kids tv program from the early eighties set in i think either alaska or canada? it was always iced-over and the kids were dragging sleighs !!!! cant remember any story lines but remember loving it coz the setting was so different can any one help please?

Check out "Avonlea" - a story about Anne Shirley and her life with her relatives in Canada. Came out in the late eighties. It was after the same theme as Anne of Green Gables. Is this it ?
